Meet Amy

I am a thirty something mom who spent the majority of her life in Indiana and Michigan, but relocated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest 7 1/2 years ago.  At age seven I decided I wanted to be a writer, but somehow my life took many twists and turns. Writing is one of my many hobbies.  I’m also a stay at home mom and I also run an in home day care.  I have a wonderful husband, three children all two years apart, and a charcoal colored cat.  I have a huge passion for running and have completed three marathons.  I expanded my horizons and learned to swim and did my first sprint triathlon last spring.

  1. We have a lot in common! I was a long distance runner (also a HS track drop out) in the past (completed one marathon and lots of 1/2s), am from the Midwest, and have a sister who relocated to the PA NW many years ago. Good luck with your degree and thanks for stopping by Simplify, Live, Love.

    • Wow! We do have a lot in common. I think running is easier when you get older. I had all kinds of injuries in high school and that was one of the reasons I quit. If you ever get to my side of the country, the Portland Marathon is a great “rookie” marathon. It was my first. Thanks for stopping by Everyday Mom!

    • Thanks for reading! I feel like I was a blogger before there were blogs. I have boxes in my attic of journals, poetry, and articles. Blogging has been such a great hobby for me. Thanks for reading!
